We had already sadly postponed the 2020 edition in 2021 but unfortunately the very uncertain health context of the coming months - with the announcement of the postponement of the extended state of health emergency until June 1, 2021 - forced the Community of municipalities of the Gulf of Saint-Tropez and Azur Sport Organization (ASO), organizers of the International Marathon of the Gulf of Saint-Tropez, to the cancellation of the 3rd edition which was to be held on March 28.
The Marathon du Golfe de Saint-Tropez wants to offer the best guarantees for the holding of the event for its participants, its guides, its public, its volunteers and its partners, as well as for the organizing team and not to derogate in its image associated with the opening of the summer season. This event requires major preparatory work and the setting in motion of substantial material and human resources. The particularly uncertain health context in the coming months does not allow them to be implemented calmly, with the risk of a last minute cancellation.
That is why, 7 weeks before the scheduled date of this event, we are launching this cancellation procedure in order to address the concerns of all participants and not to further penalize runners who have to organize their travel and accommodation in the Gulf. of Saint-Tropez.
Consequently, several options are available to registered runners:
1. Postponement of registration to the 2022 edition.
2. The exchange of the registration for a bib for the 2021 edition of the Marathon des Alpes-Maritimes Nice-Cannes (November 28, 2021).
3. The donation of part or all of the registration to the International Marathon du Golfe de Saint-Tropez association.
4. Full reimbursement of registration fees (excluding transaction costs), without penalties.
You have until March 31, 2021 to let us know your choice
With the community of municipalities, ASO will however prepare you for an International Marathon of the Gulf of Saint Tropez in connected mode with lots of new features and surprises and make you discover the tourist heritage of the towns of the community of municipality crossed by the marathon.
